I usually love toners, especially Centella ones. I was really hoping this would be just as good as the ampoule since it has not only Centella extract but also chemical peeling ingredients like PHA. Will this perform well or will it be a flop? Let’s find out.

Ingredients: Centella extract 84%, purified water, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, Niacinamide, Glucono Delta-Lactone, Tromethamine, Carbomer, Sodium Citrate, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Betaine, Hyaluronic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin
How to use: After cleansing your face, take a cotton pad and massage it all over your face. Continue on with the rest of your skincare.
Product packaging: I wasn’t aware of this before but there are actually two sizes to this toner. The size I got here is 210 mL but there is also 500 mL. It comes in hard plastic with a twist-off cap.
To dispense the product, you simply pour it out and the stopper will help dispense just the right amount.
Texture/ Finish: This Centella toner has a very watery, lightweight texture and absorbs into my skin like it wasn’t really there. I don’t find it hydrating enough and I cannot say the PHA helped my dry skin in any way. It didn’t exfoliate much despite be using it every day for 2-3 weeks nor did I see any drastic changes to my skin. It was quite a disappointment considering they could have used the same formula as the ampoule but jazzed it up just enough to say it I was a different product but still had that Centella ampoule magic in toner form.
Also if you are scared PHA being a chemical exfoliator to be irritating, PHA is the most gentle out of the four types of chemical exfoliator family (AHA, BHA, PHA, and now even LHA). There were no signs of irritation or tingling like when I use the Ordinary’s glycolic acid toner.
Fragrance?: No fragrance detected
Pro: -absorbs into the skin quickly
Con: -not hydrating -exfoliating component didn’t preform
Repurchase?: No

Overall thoughts: This has to be one of the most underwhelming toners I have tried so far, and I’ve tried a lot of toners in my lifetime as a blogger now. It firstly wasn’t hydrating enough, the PHA didn’t do much for my skin’s cell turnover and it was just overall super boring. I love me some Centella, but this just wasn’t it and I wouldn’t even bother trying to like it. This is a hard pass.
