The Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks were launched some time last year and come in 20 different shades. Quite a few shades from this range (Faint For Fuchsia, Craving Coral, Touch of Spice, etc) have already been reviewed on IMBB. Today, I am reviewing the shade “Clay Crush” for you. Read on to find out if I liked it or not.

My Experience with Maybelline Clay Crush Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a sleek packaging with a translucent cap. The cap has a mauve-y brown color and the packaging is quite similar to other Color Sensational lipsticks from Maybelline. The sticker at the bottom of the tube is color coded to help identify the lipstick if you have multiple of these lipsticks. Even though the packaging is very simple, it looks classy and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. 
Shade: “Clay Crush” is a light brown shade. It is a lovely delicate shade which can be a nice n*de shade for some skin tones. I personally like it too as it is a shade which does not wash me out despite being so light. The lipstick is superbly pigmented and one swipe is enough to take care of even pigmented lips. 
Texture/Finish/Pigmentation: This lipstick is touted by Maybelline as creamy matte. It is creamy indeed and applies fairly well on the lips with no tugging. The finish is a nice semi-matte with just the hint of sheen. 
The lipstick doesn’t feel drying initially, but after a while, it starts to look dry. It does accentuate the lines on the lips a bit. 
I would recommend exfoliating the lips and applying a lip balm underneath for a better finish. The matte formula makes the lipstick stay long, it stays on for around 5 hours with light snacking. This particular shade doesn’t leave any stain behind. 
Pros of Maybelline Clay Crush Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick:

- Lovely matte finish.
- Decent staying power – around 5 hours.

Cons of Maybelline Clay Crush Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick:
- Over time, the lipstick accentuates lines on the lips and feels drying.
- Exfoliation is recommended for very dry and chapped lips.
- This particular shade might wash out some skin tones.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Clay Crush Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick? If this shade suits you, it is a good lipstick to try out. I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
