I’m a huge skincare hoarder and keeps trying and reviewing different skin care products. So, my today’s post will be about The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Scrub Foam.
I had tried the The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Cleansing Foam Review in the past. I was quite impressed with that so, I thought of giving their scrub foam a try. This scrub foam contains volcanic ash that helps to treat large pores, treat acne, exfoliates skin and restore elasticity. I bought this especially to treat the tiny bumps on my face because their cleansing foam helped me removing those bumps. So, let’s find out whether the scrub foam meet my expectation or not.

Ingredients
Packaging
The scrub foam comes in a muddy brown sturdy opaque tube with white flip open cap which is translucent. The cap isn’t too tight but to get the product you have to press a little hard so, even if cap accidentally gets open while traveling it won’t leak. One can find all the details on back of the tube. The tube is huge and bulky, you can travel with it only if you ignore these two things.
Fragrance
It has floral smell with the hint of citrusy. It is quite mild, decent and refreshes my mood.
My Experience
The scrub foam has slightly thick creamy consistency and gets spreads easily over wet face. The texture is quite similar to cleansing foam from the same range. It creates a pretty nice amount of lather and I feel a slight cooling sensation during its application that makes my skin refreshed. I scrub it for 1-2 minutes and wash it off with normal water, the face shop suggested to wash with lukewarm water but I forget to use lukewarm water every time I use it. I use this mostly in my night time skincare routine, you can use it anytime according to your preference.
It gets washed off easily without leaving any slippery residue behind. Post wash, my skin look clean and fresh but not well exfoliated. It contains few scrubbing granules and lots of micro volcanic ash, the granules are not that harsh on my skin but also they are not capable to exfoliates skin or to remove blackheads or whiteheads. This scrub foam is more like a scrub face wash that cleanses skin deeply but unable to give proper exfoliation. Using this scrub foam on regular basis will give you a clear skin tone.
For oily, combination and acne prone skin, this scrub foam will be a good choice because it sucks out all the oils from skin making my skin look matte. It has deep cleansing action that will definitely benefit people with oily-acne prone skin. If your skin is really dry, I wouldn’t recommend you this, it might make your skin more dry and stretchy. I have normal skin and I feel slight stretch on my skin, so I immediately put serum and moisturizer after washing.

The best part of this scrub foam is that it removes the tiny bumps (oil & dirt build-up) from my skin and also reduced the size of my pores. But this can be visible again if you put any oil-based product or heavy moisturizer on your face. I usually get open pores during humid weather and this helped me a lot with regular use.
Overall I liked the face shop jeju lava scrub foam as cleanser but not as an exfoliater.
Highly recommend for combination, oily and acne prone skin.
