Cherry blossoms are in full bloom only for a short period of a few days in spring, usually around February/March. These delicately beautiful flowers are truly a rare gem to see in person. Innisfree came out with the Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone Up Cream last year and I was intensely attracted to it thanks to the rave reviews on it. So let’s got onto the review!
CLAIMS
The Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone Up Cream is said to be a lightweight cream formulated with Jeju cherry blossom leaf extracts and naturally derived Betaine which leaves you with a natural, glowing finish after application.
It claims to:
- give a brightening effect for a bright and vibrant complexion
- hydrate skin and boost moisture
- gives a glowy and translucent skin effect even without makeup on
PACKAGING & PRODUCT
The Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone Up Cream comes in a plastic tub like packaging of 50ml.
The top of the lid has the word “Innisfree” engraved onto it which is really cool!
Once you open the lid, the product can be easily scooped with a spatula or using your fingers.
The product is a light pink, running texture of an emulsion.
It has a very light pink undertone to it and spreads easily onto the skin.
When you start to blend the product into your skin, it starts to fade into a lighter pink color to blend into the color of your skin. It feels not drying at all, instead slightly hydrating.
After blending the product out completely, the skin looks slightly brightened, tone-up effect which looks natural and dewy. It doesn’t leave an obvious white cast or feels too much for a tone-up cream. It also blended into my skin seamlessly and without any harsh rubbing.
I dab a bit of the product evenly all over my face to make sure my application is even and I don’t miss out on any spot. Then gently using my fingers to blend in the product into my skin to ensure a seamless application. You can also use a beauty blender if you are more hygienic.
Afterward, I get a slightly brightening, more “awake” shade of skin that looks healthy and hydrated. I would say the tone up effect is quite obvious, as compared to the other half of my naked face. However, the effect is more significant under artificial light as compared to sunlight (as seen below).
PROS.
- Obvious but natural tone-up effect
- Blends easily and seamlessly into skin
- Hydrating, not drying at all
- Doesn’t leave a too obvious white cast
- A little product goes a long way
CONS
- N/A
In a nutshell,
I definitely liked the Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone Up Cream and I think it’s a really great tone up cream for everyone. It gives the extra boost to your skin to make it look healthy, brightened and dewy. I think it’s quite natural and definitely can be worn without foundation either. Totally recommend!
