Hello, folks!
Okay, by now you must have already known about my devoted love to Korean beauty products, haven’t you? One of my most favorite brand of them all is Innisfree, and now I am going to talk about one of their most underrated products, Innisfree Bija Cica Balm Ex.
Okay, first thing first, I used this product as a moisturizer, because I feel it’s moisturizing enough for me. But, I think some people might feel the need to use another moisturizer on top of it.
The reason I was attracted to this product because Director Pi, one of my favourite Youtuber recommended it on her channel. If you don’t know Director Pi, you HAVE to check out her Youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqrNqg3UgVoD3Sa-F_TxuSA
The second reason is because I took a look at the ingredients and instantly knew that this product contains lots of great ingredients for my sensitive, acne prone skin.
If it’s hard for you to read the ingredients from the picture above ( pardon my picture taking skills!), here I put the ingredients list for you, guys!
Water(Aqua), Propanediol, Glycerin, Cyclopentasiloxane, Squalane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Panthenol, 1,2-Hexanediol, C12-16 Alcohols, Polysorbate 60, Diisostearyl Malamte, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Palmitic Acid, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Tromethamine, Cetearyl Glucoside, Torreya Nucifera Seed Oil, Disodium EDTA, Sorbitan Isostearate, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Glucose
The ingredients I absolutely love are:
- Squalane: skin conditioning.
- Panthenol: wound healing, skin conditioning, promote healthy and strong skin barrier.
- Madecassoside: anti – oxidant, skin conditioning, wound healing, skin soothing.
- Madeccasic acid: skin conditioning, wound healing.
Because my skin fall into the combination category ( dry at some part, while oily on the other), sensitive, and acne prone, I need things that would help to keep my skin’s moisture level in check, while also having calming and soothing effect at the same time. And boy, this product check all the boxes! Another thing is, this product does not contain any fragrance and synthetic colors. Not to mention I love the tube packaging, because it’s easier and feels more hygienic to me.
The texture of the product is not too thick or too watery, just right in the middle.
The product absorbs really fast and beautifully. You see, it doesn’t leave any greasy film on top of the skin.
I am really glad I found this product. If by any chance you are looking for product that could help you deal with your sensitive skin and strengthen your skin barrier, while also moisturizing at the same time, I would recomment this Bija Cica Balm Ex for you. If you only have some very specific areas of concern, you could apply this on that area, and then top it off by the moisturizer/ cream you usually use.
I just use this product as an all over the face moisturizer because I feel the moisturizing property is enough and my areas of concern tend to change from day to day.
Pros :
- Very good ingredients
- Fragrance and synthetic coloring free
- Efficient packaging
- Beautiful texture and easily absorbed into the skin
- Support free trade!
Cons:
- Fall on the pricier side considering the amount we get
So, that’s all about it folks! This truly is a great product that works for me, and I hope my review would be helpful in your consideration to whether you buy this or not!
Till I see you again,
Xoxo
